This story should really be called a business lesson I'm still learning. But any who.
$2 Tuesday started out as Fast Food Friday. If you have been a client for a while you may remember that. At that time I wanted to introduce people to my business at a low entry price in the hopes that they would like it so much they would keep coming back. Did it work? WE serve so many caregivers everyday. They probably do not think of themselves as caregivers. They feel like they are just doing what any loving family member or friend would do. But if you spend a good portion of your time aiding an ill, friend, family member, church member or anyone, you are a caregiver. It is definitely not an easy job. It can cause your life to be filled with other peoples needs and wants. Let me commend you on stepping up to the plate and being the person that helps. You do not have to do it. You could just cut and run but instead you have made the sacrifice to help someone in need. All I ask is that you don't put yourself so far in the background that your own health suffers. Not just your physical health but your mental health as well. Promise yourself that you will plan little vacays from life every now and again. Eat healthy meals and sleep enough hours. You do not have to spend a lot of money or you can. You can make them staycations or you can get away. They can last for minutes, hours or days. Just take some time and do something relaxing that you enjoy. It will make you an even better caregiver. When the caregivers we serve go on vacation or take a break they know they can call on us. They usually plan their deliveries and errands for their love ones in advance. Many of our caregivers already use our subscription plans all the time but they sometimes just buy services in bulk to cover away time. It makes us happy to know that they are getting much needed rest, fun or whatever else they need. So promise me that you will give yourself a break and take some time to smell the roses.
