The owner, let's call him Nader.(Because that's his name. lol) let me know that he would love to keep working with Rollin but he needed set pricing for the areas we would deliver to.
He said he could then just set the amount for his customers and, in store employees would also be able to reference the price even when customers did not order online. I got busy and made a chart of pricing for out of area deliveries, with the exception that if the mileage greatly exceeded the amount, it would be adjusted as needed. I also posted the pricing on the website to be ordered by other clients. Because I listened and tried the advice, other companies have seen the set price and used Rollin's out of the box pricing for their delivery. A local construction service, a company out of South Carolina who needed a delivery from Salisbury to Clemmons and a medical device manufacturer have all gave the new pricing a spin. The reason is, people like to know exactly what they are getting, and how much it will cost without all the wait time. It is not that I had not read this principle about pricing before, it is just that I had not listened with my business ears and applied it. What are your clients telling you they want. It pays to listen. Karen aka The Delivery Diva Comments are closed.
