Let's talk about Christmas!
The giving the buying, The fun, family and events. The birth of Jesus Christ! How can you not love Christmas? If you forget the real meaning it can be very easy to not love Christmas. When the buying becomes the focus, Christmas can become stressful. Make sure you keep the meaning of Christmas centered around Love, Family and Giving. Try some of these suggestions.
Start a family/friends tradition around giving.
Every December do 25 days of giving and make a schedule of ways you can contribute to your community. Work in a local shelter. Donate an item a day to local help groups. Organize caroling at care facilities. Make ornaments out of things around the house and donate them. Give away your unused Christmas decorations to someone who doesn't have any. Make or buy 25 wreaths( They can come from the dollar store. They have some really cute ones.) and donate them to local nursing facility. Share your special talent for free during Christmas. If you are a artisan of any kind it can be a lovely thing to share during this time of year. Cook for a family that needs it. Host a drop in just for fun and gathering. Give out candy canes with a cute saying everywhere you go. Hold a raffle with something you have of value and donate the funds to a local charity. Get your friends and family in on this and do a multiple gift raffle give away. Put money on the kids you know lunch tabs at their schools. Make a couple of Christmas C.D.s and hand them out. Pre-Purchase as many free coffees at a local coffee shop and let people drop in and use a code to get one free until they are all gone. It would be great to get everyone you can involved in some of these ideas. I am going to do as many of them as I can. Karen aka "The Delivery Diva" P.S. Let me know it you try any of them or if you have some other suggestions in the comments. Comments are closed.
