This Saturday after Christmas I made a discussion to remove all the social media apps from my work phone.
I did not do it lightly because Rollin is active on social media. The question became: What is that activity actual doing for my business. Is there really a such thing as perfection?
Some may say the rose in this picture is perfect. But why does it have to be? The fact that it is beautiful is perfect to me. So then what would a perfect errand look like. I bet I'm not the only one who get a little sad around Christmas.
I use to feel guilty about it. I live a blessed life. I have a beautiful family. But since my Mom and Dad are no longer with me, every year around the holidays, my longing for them seems to get bigger. If you have lost someone you love, the holidays may be a little tough for you too. It helps me to focus on the good times I had with them. I think of the fun we had on the holidays and how much we looked forward to them. I also think of all the great new friends and family that have come into my life over the years. It does not replace them but it does help. As I work and serve my clients it has helped so much. Helping others make their holidays special makes me feel so good. So maybe the biggest thing to do to work through Christmas sadness is to do things for others. Karen aka The Delivery Diva |
