![]() Covid 19 took my business and many others by storm. I wasn't sure what was going to happen or if Rollin would be able to survive it all. There have been some ups and downs but, Rollin is still kicking. Some things have changed. Some things have had to change quite frankly. ![]() Rollin Had to change the way we shop: The first couple of weeks the stores where out of so many things. There are still times even know when items are low. When people ordered delivery late in the day, it almost guaranteed that half of the items on their list would be out. To help with this issue we set shopping times before 1pm everyday. We also made grocery shopping days for certain stores on specific days with Friday being optional store days. Doing shopping that way made better for our clients to get more of the things on their list. It also helped us get around to all the stores our clients like to get shopping from. Since things have gotten a little better we changed the select stores on certain days but kept that shopping ends at 1pm. We had to adapt to no touch delivery. There have been times that we have left things outside of a person's door by their request but not because of a virus or any sickness. It has meant not seeing some of my clients for months. Its meant not getting a signature for items like we are use to. We are definitely not going to keep that process exactly the same. One thing that we will keep similar is the way we deliver during flu seasons and high risk times. I am not sure how that will look yet. Maybe face mask or gloves but it will be more caution taken to keep our clients healthy Finally-Covid has made me realize how important multiple streams of income are.
Thankfully this whole situation has not totally eliminated the way Rollin makes money. There have been some tough times during all of this but for the most part Rollin has continued to be profitable. I just understand now, even more than before, how making money in different ways and fields can keep you safer from financial disasters. Of course having some savings can help as well. If you have never heard of multiple streams of income or residual income, just give it a quick google. It is worth learning more about.
