Competition can be really stiff in the catering business. How do you keep your business on the tongue of current and new clients. Rollin has some suggestions that can help you stay front and center. 1) Social Media
I know that everyone does not like to be social. But food is a visually pleasing product. Food also travels around social media at lighting speed. Open an account and share your food. Have clients share your food. Also share your journey as you prepare for events and what it takes. 2) Freebies Don't go over board with giving stuff away but be very selective. If you serve a specific client base, find out how you can give a sample to the place they hang out. Offer to give them a freebie on a certain Holiday or special occasion. 3) Religious Events Much like the freebie, churches are always having special events that could use your great food. You can donate as a way to help the church or any religious organization. This is a great way to let to give and let people know you have a great product. 4) Specialty Items Just being a cater is pretty vague. What it you are known for an item that you make. Niche your business but only to be know as the best at this type of thing. It might be potato salad or a specialty chili. Just use your thing to be remembered but not put into a box. 5) Hosting Your Own Events Don't just sit around and wait for someone to call you. Partner with another business or friend and host an event of your own. Showcase your goodies and give out cards, promo deals and a little keep sake. You don't have to make the event totally free unless you can afford it or just want to. Creating a theme for the event could be a way to make it more memorable also. Hosting a fundraising event yearly is a great idea to help others and market your business. When you sign up as a cater with Rollin you will already be exposed to our list of visitors. If you prepare individual meals for sale daily or on occasion, Rollin will help you get the word our. Our catering page is advertised on Social Media and all of our other types of advertising too.
