This blog post is going to be a little shocking to the people that believe people who own businesses want to be mega rich and travel all the time and have tons of employees. To hear my truth, read on.
Being a boss or running your own business is no walk in the park.
I am not talking about the boss who still has their main job
but running a business that is your primary means of income.
But yet I love it.
If this business God Forbid did not work out,
I would just start another as soon as I could.
But my love for business does not come from the dream of being a multi millionaire or billionaire.
I would not mind that or but living comfortable is my goal.
It just doesn't take the headache that type of money would bring for me to be comfortable.
I would only want money like that if I could use it to make great change in the world.
As far as the travel goes
I travel everyday.
Just kidding. but I do like a good vacation 1 or 2 times a year.
Sometime that vacation can be at my home and sometimes it can be a drive or airplane ride away.
I have always tried to set up my life in a way that I do not need to constantly escape from it.
I work hard to make my home a place that makes me feel safe and comfortable.
I am the type of person who can ride to a lake and be by the water for a while and feel revived.
I do love a good cruise every once in a while but Covid 19 has me rethinking that.
I was reading the other day about the number of employees that some major companies employee.
Lots of the employees are unhappy.
I want to employee just enough people to do it well.
I will not make a fortune on the backs of others unless they are making it with me.
So why am I the boss of my own business.
One simple word: Freedom.
Not the slogans you read about that make it seem like owning your own business means you can do whatever you want whenever you want.
The kind of Freedom that lets me do my best work.
It let's me actually know and serve my clients in a way that feels right and fair.
Freedom to say no to clients who do not treat me or my employees with respect.
Sweet, sweet freedom.
It is awesome and scary and fun and hard all of the same time.
