Have you ever been to a perfectly lovely event where everything is going great. The venue is awesome. The decor pops. It is just the right amount of people. But then..... You see family members lumbering into the venue with pans of food. You hope that this family can either really cook or that they are helping the cater set up. Many times neither situation is true. The fact is that your host spent tons of time and money on how everything looked and counted on friends and family to provide the food. Are you asking "what's the problem with that"? 1) The first problem is that it is often 1 or 2 family members that will arrive late. The lovely event is then disturbed by the setting up of the buffet. Clanking pans and whispers draw attention to the eating area and the fact that the food is just being set up. 2) Another issue is that although Aunt Sarah is a great cook, she is not use to cooking for 200 people. In a hurry to get it all done, Aunt Sarah does not cook everything all the way through. Aunt Sarah just can't get it all cooked so she does not get to finish and the things she helped make run out. Now listen. I love Aunt Sarah. But her much loved food is best at family gatherings and church events. Please for the sake of making your event unforgettable hire a professional. Hire a professional cater that can cook the food and serve it. Hire a cater that you have tasted what they can do and seen proof of what their set up looks like. Hire a cater that knows how much food it will take to feed the crowd you are expecting. Great Food, makes every event so much more extraordinary.
