I woke up around 3 am a couple of nights ago and I just could not go back to sleep.
I tossed and turned and tried my best but I was just restless.
Finally I just rolled out of bed and put my robe on.
When I quietly closed the door to my room so I would not wake up my husband, I wondered
what in the world am I going to do at this time of morning.
You know one of those moments when you really want to be asleep because you know you will pay for it in the morning.
I walked into the kitchen and thought how delicious a bowl of chocolate ice cream would be.
Of course the adult in me said no because it was late, the noise I would make and the caffeine and sugar in the ice cream.
Then that same adult thought about the time I spent working that day.
I had wanted a bowl of ice cream earlier but just did not get time to eat any before it was too late.
I had avoided eating it because it may have interfered with my sleep.
Oh the irony!
I went in the kitchen.
Dipped a couple of sccops of ice cream and then went up stairs and looked on the computer for a while.
I felt relaxed and satisfied.
That one bowl of ice cream calmed me down and in about an hour and a half I laid back down and went to sleep.
New Diva Rule:
It's never to late to eat chocolate ice cream.
